Dmitry Reznikov, Head of the Retail Banking Department of Ukrgasbank, in the interview to finance.ua has commented the tendencies of the Ukrainian payment cards market in 2007.

He said that by the end of 2007 there would be 40 million of payment cards on the Ukrainian market. In Ukraine consumer loans are becoming more and more popular. The most convenient way for clients to use their loan is receiving money from the credit card. That is why Ukrainian banks will increase the issue of credit cards.

Among the other tendencies on Ukrainian payment cards market Dmitry Reznikov has noted the increasing number of implementations of chip technologies. But he doesn't these technologies to be highly spread in Ukraine in 2007. This is just preparation for the future.
